Order Fulfilment-Notifications
The typical turnaround time on a custom rod order is 4-6 weeks, however delay and order backlog issues can arise. We provide an estimated date of fulfillment. In the event of a delay an e-mail update will be provided. Status advisories can be requested at any time during the process.
The usual turnaround time for a minor repair is 5-15 days, however delay issues can arise. We will provide an estimated date of completion.
E-mail updates are provided if any appreciable delay occurs during the process.
Extensive repairs and restorations require additional time to complete. An estimated cost and completion time will be provided for these services. E-mail updates are provided if any appreciable delay occurs during the process.
Custom Rod Order Process
Deposits
Extensive repairs and restorations may require a non-refundable deposit. The estimated cost of the rod components and labor is required. Any remaining balance is due upon completion.
Refunds & Returns
All sales are final. No refunds or returns are provided except as specified herein.
Subject to these terms, we offer refunds on the purchase of goods but not on the provision of services or custom build orders. Our returns period lasts for 7 days after you receive any item. If 7 days have gone by since delivery of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.
To be eligible to return an item for a refund, it must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Where items have been made or personalized for you, they are non-refundable unless defective. Please be sure to confirm all items prior to purchasing.
If you need to return an item, send us an e-mail at our contact e-mail address on this website and we will provide you with the address to return your items. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund and will process your refund within seven business days after the returned item is confirmed to be in reasonable condition.
When you are returning items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item.
Shipping charges and return shipping costs are non-refundable.
Guaranties/Warrantees
Handcrafted and custom ordered rods are guaranteed against defective workmanship for 1 year.
Rod blank warrantees are provided by most supply sources and, or the manufacturers. No additional blank warrantee is provided by the business (Cutlass Custom Rods).
Routine (i.e., guide and tip replacement) rod repair work is guaranteed for 30 days. Broken rod repairs, restorations, and extensive repairs are not guaranteed.
-Broken rod repairs are not guaranteed against additional or future breakage.
-Due to the uncertainties and potential issues involved restoration and extensive repair work is not guaranteed.
General & Product Liability Waiver
There are inherent risks associated with the use of sportfishing equipment including but not limited to personal injury. The customer assumes all risks associated with product use.
The customer agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Business, its owner, employees, agents and representatives from any claims, actions, damages, liabilities, investigations, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) except for those caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Business.
If any provision of this liability waiver is found to be unenforceable or invalid the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
